Saucy campaign auctioned for Children in Need
A saucy cardboard cut out used in a recent National Express ad campaign is being auctioned at Pool Meadow Bus station to raise funds for Children in Need.
The 6ft male model has attracted a huge fanbase since it arrived at the National Express Coventry Travelshop in September. Staff have been inundated with requests for photos and contact details of the model – there have even been attempts to kidnap their cardboard colleague.
Natalie Masterson, Manager of the Coventry Travelshop, said: “He’s quite the ladies man and always has a group of admirers around him. We thought it might be a bit risqué when he first arrived but it’s been a real hit our customers who love having their photo taken with him.”
The figure is so popular that the Coventry team have decided to auction it off on Ebay to help raise donations for their Children in Need activities.
Natalie added: ‘I think there are a few of the National Express team who may also make a secret bid - if their boyfriends will let them!”
If you are interested in making a bid on the ‘cardboard man’ his Ebay number is 150517098714 and the website is: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/150517098714
