National Express, one of the country's biggest transport providers, has today (Thursday 20 March) announced the signing of a £100m deal for 600 brand new British built buses.  The agreement with Alexander Dennis will support 2,000 British jobs at the bus builders' Scarborough, Surrey and Falkirk sites.

The bus operator is aiming to fill a number of vacancies, and is in the process of training around a dozen new recruits, seven of whom last week passed the crucial driving test which awards them a PCV licence.

National Express Dundee's 5N night bus will, from today (Friday 29 November), serve the Douglas area en route to Broughty Ferry.

The Night Owl runs in the early hours of Saturday and Sunday mornings, between the city centre and Broughty Ferry, with certain journeys extending all the way to Broomhill Drive in Monifieth.
