Buses in the Heart of the Community

Travel Dundee, part of the National Express Group, have announced that the company will be holding a FREE community event in the Marryat Hall on Tuesday 16 October for the city's elderly citizens.

The Tea Dance, a first for the bus operator, will be laid on for 150 lucky pensioners who hold a valid concessionary bus pass - and will include ballroom dancing music, several prize draws, tea and coffee and everyone's favourite game - bingo!

Stuart Henry, Corporate Affairs Manager for Travel Dundee said; "We are sure that the Tea Dance will be a very popular event and we are looking forward to welcoming pensioners from across the city. This will be a free day for our over-60 customers to come and enjoy and will continue to keep Travel Dundee at the heart of the community."

He added; "Here at Travel Dundee we aim to make travel simpler and to continue to connect with everyone across the local community. We are a socially responsible bus operator and we?ll be looking to hold further interesting community events over the next few months."

FREE tickets for the Tea Dance, which is from 1pm to 4pm on 16 October, are available from Travel Dundee's Commercial Street Travel Centre. Only 150 are available so holders of concessionary bus passes will have to be quick!
