Changes to Services from 1st May 2005
From Sunday 1st May 2005 we are making a variety of changes to our bus network across the City.
A number of the changes are in response to your requests and suggestions, whilst others will help to improve reliability on our main routes and concentrate resources where they are needed most.
Full details can be found below, but here is a summary of the main points:
* 4A replaced by more journeys on the 3 & 4 circular and the 4B.
* Route changes to the 7 & 8 around Lawside.
* Extra buses on the 15 & 17, 28 & 29 and 32 & 33 to improve reliability.
* A new loop around Douglas for the 28 & 29.
* 31 withdrawn, but the 36 & 37 route will now include Asda at Milton, the Milton of Craigie Retail Park, Kingsway Retail Park and Hawkhill.
New timetables for all the services in this leaflet are available from many outlets across the City, including our Travel Centre in Commercial Street.

There are new times on the 1A & 1B during Monday - Friday daytimes.1 journeys to Faraday Street also change slightly as a result.We?ve added some extra early morning 1A & 1B journeys on Saturdays and Public Holidays too.The 1C and school service 1X do not change.
2 City Centre - Dryburgh/Dunsinane Avenue
New easie--to-remember times - most journeys now leave from High Street and Dryburgh on the hour and the half hour.School service 2A does not change.
3 Dryburgh Circular (Clockwise)4 Dryburgh Circular (Anticlockwise)4A City Centre - Camperdown Leisure Park4B Sinderins - City Centre - Camperdown Leisure Park
The 4A will be replaced on Mondays to Saturdays by circular services 3 & 4, which will now run hourly throughout the daytime.3 runs clockwise via Lawside, Lochee, Dryburgh, Camperdown & Stack Leisure Parks (from 9.15am), Byron Street and Hilltown.4 runs anticlockwise via Hilltown, Byron Street, Stack & Camperdown Leisure Parks (from 8.50am), Dryburgh, Lochee and Lawside.The 4A will be replaced on Sundays and Public Holidays by the 4B, which will now run hourly during the daytime on Sundays and Public Holidays as well as during the evening seven days a week.
7 Inner Circle (Clockwise)8 Inner Circle (Anticlockwise)
The Inner Circle route around Lawside has been changed to improve on the reliability of the service.Buses will run along Dudhope Terrace instead of Gardner Street, Lawside Road and Albany Terrace. These roads will now be either served by, or are close to, the revised 3 & 4.
There are some other changes to the 7 & 8 timetables - on Mondays to Fridays buses will run up to five minutes earlier at morning peak times, and early on Saturday mornings buses will now run hourly.

These services do not change.

Buses will still run every 30 minutes during the daytime and up to every 15 minutes at peak times.The exact times the 9X and 10X run at will change though - please pick up the new timetable.
15 City Centre - Whitfield17 Ninewells Hospital - City Centre - Whitfield
The frequency of these services stays the same, but we?re giving journeys slightly more time to keep them on schedule.There are minor changes to the timetable as a result.
18 City Centre - Kirkton18A City Centre - Kirkton19 City Centre - Kirkton
These services do not change.
21 City Centre - Woodside
The main City Centre stop for the 21 will now be in Commercial Street, outside the Travel Dundee Travel Centre.Buses will then run direct from Commercial Street to the Victoria Road/Wellgate Centre stop, and will not call at Albert Square.
22 Ninewells Hospital - City Centre - Downfield22C Ninewells Hospital - City Centre - Craigowl View22X Ninewells Hospital - City Centre - Craigowl View
On Mondays to Fridays the 22C to and from Craigowl View will now run at peak times only - all off-peak and evening journeys will run to and from Downfield as 22 instead.RedLine 1C will continue to run half hourly between Craigowl View and the City Centre via St. Mary?s.Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays on the 22 & 22C do not change.Express Service 22X also stays the same.
28 Douglas - City Centre - Charleston (Balgarthno Road)
29 Douglas - City Centre - Charleston (Dunholm Road)
During 2004 we surveyed passengers in the Douglas area to gain their views on extending the 28 & 29 to the east side of Douglas, and we would like to thank everyone who took part.With your help, and following subsequent discussions with City Councillor Regan, Dundee East MP Ian Luke and Dundee City Council, we?re extending the 28 & 29 around a new loop serving more of Douglas.Please pick up the new timetable for full details of journeys and times.
31 City Quay - City Centre - Trottick36 Northern Circular (Anticlockwise)37 Northern Circular (Clockwise)
Due to low passenger numbers, the 31 will be withdrawn after Saturday 30th April.Following many requests, the 36 & 37 will now serve the Asda store at Milton and the Milton of Craigie Retail Park. New bus stops will be added on Longtown Road by the Drumlanrig Drive junction.The 36 & 37 will also serve the Kingsway Retail Park. From Dundee College?s Kingsway Campus on Old Glamis Road, the anticlockwise 36 will run via Kingsway and Kingsway West to the Retail Park, where it will call at the bus shelter behind Pizza Hut. Buses will then leave the Park and run via Clepington Road as far as Caird Avenue, where they will be able to rejoin their current route. The clockwise 37 follows this route in reverse.To the West of the City Centre, the 36 & 37 will now run along Hawkhill instead of Perth Road.Please pick up the new timetable for full details of journeys and times.

Because of the increasing traffic congestion on the Forfar Road we?re giving journeys on the Fintry Shuttle a little more time to improve their reliability. Rather than reduce the frequency on these popular services we?ve chosen to add an extra bus into the timetable.33A journeys to and from the Pensions Office will continue to run at similar times.Evening Service 33B via Mill O? Mains has been replaced by new Service 32B to Fintry, instead of Whitfield Shops. People in Mill O? Mains wanting to travel towards the City Centre can still board these services and travel to the City Centre via Fintry.Please pick up the new timetable for full details of journeys and times.
51 City Centre - Fowlis
This service does not change.
55 City Centre - St. Mary?s
The 55 will no longer serve Craigowl View.Craigowl View will still be served by the 1C and peak-time 22C & 22X.
88 Whitfield - Broughty Ferry93 Douglas - Technology Park94 Douglas - Gourdie Industrial Estate
These services do not change.
