Scotland's first bus proposal takes place in Dundee!
A Dundee man made a very public proposal to his girlfriend this Valentine’s Day – becoming the first person in Scotland to pop the question on a bus advert.
George McPhee won a competition by National Express Dundee offering the chance to propose on the side of a double decker. He has since worked with the company to design a special dedication to his partner Donna Colligan.
The bus arrived at Donna’s house at 12:30pm today, where George down on one knee to propose. The couple have been together for three years. George said: “I called National Express as soon as I heard the advert because I think it’s a really memorable way to propose.
I’m over the moon she said yes!” Sue Gee, Marketing Manager for National Express bus, said: “We’re so excited to create Scotland’s first proposal by bus. We worked with George to design the advert and are thrilled to have been part of their special day.”
