St Mary’s and Ardler Bus Service Changes – public exhibitions

National Express is today launching the first part of its information plan for the revised bus service in the St Mary’s and Ardler areas that take effect from 6th March 2011.

There are two exhibitions planned so that local residents can find out more information and ask questions of National Express staff. The exhibitions will be on a bus parked on Turnberry Avenue, close to the shops.

The dates and times are as follows:

Thursday 3rd February from 12.00 to 15.30

Tuesday 8th February from 10.00 to 13.00

Simon Mathieson, Acting Director for National Express is keen that people come along to find out more: “We are holding these exhibitions to inform people of the changes to routes 1, 1A, 1B and 1C that take effect from 6th March 2011. Members of my team will be available to talk people through the changes and what it means for their journey needs. We will also be listening to people’s views so that these can be built in to future revisions”

The routes in the St Mary’s and Ardler areas will be:

Service 1 - Macalpine Road, Rosemount Road, Dalmahoy Drive, Turnberry Avenue, Macalpine Road, St Kilda’s Road, Dalmahoy Drive, Laird Street to terminate at Benholm Place. Same route in reverse.

Frequency:

10 minutes or less Monday to Saturday daytime

30 minutes Monday to Saturday and Sunday evenings

20 minutes on Sunday daytime (most journeys operating as service 1D extended to Downfield Cox Street)

Service 1C – Macalpine Road, Laird Street, Dalmahoy Drive, Birkdale Place, Macalpine Road. This route is served in a one way loop.

Frequency:

30 minutes Monday to Saturday daytime

No evening or Sunday service
