UK Bus Division - Management Appointments

National Express Group, the leading international passenger transport company, is pleased to announce two new appointments to its Group Executive Team.
Denis Wormwell, currently chief executive of the Group's coach division, has been appointed to the position of chief executive of its bus division following the retirement of Brian Jackson.
Paul Bunting, currently managing director of Midland Mainline, one of the Group's train operating companies, is to take up the role of chief executive of the coach division. Both appointments will take effect from 1 February 2006.
Denis Wormwell, 44, joined National Express Group as chief executive of its coach division four years ago and has been responsible for the rebranding of business and the development of its customer-service led culture. Prior to this, Denis spent 15 years in the leisure and travel sector, most recently with the Thomas Cook Group.
Paul Bunting, 46, has been with Midland Mainline since February 2004 and during this time has been responsible for improving operational performance and developing its marketing offer. Paul has extensive experience within both the UK rail and bus industries, having previously worked with Stagecoach, First, and in a number of senior roles within British Rail.
Commenting on the new management appointments, Ray O'Toole, National Express Group Chief Operating Office said:

An announcement on the appointment of the new managing director for Midland Mainline will be made shortly.
