Sitting imposingly at the mouth of the Tay, Broughty Castle was built in 1496 on the rocky headland. It has faced many sieges and battles. These have left their scars - marks made by cannon shot are still visible.
Broughty Castle Museum houses fascinating displays on the life and times of Broughty Ferry, its people, the environment and the wildlife that live close by. There is always something to see and do, with a changing programme of events, activities and displays.
