404 Route Extension
Travel West Midlands has launched its extended 404 Walsall - Blackheath bus service. The 404 service will provide for a 15 minute frequency that will now serve Cradley Heath. Chris Roberts, Area Director West said: "We have been working with Sandwell MBC and Centro in partnership. The outcome of this work has been an agreement that this route should be extended. This is obviously good news for Cradley Heath and Old Hill residents who will not only have better access to High Street shopping, but also better links for the High School and a connection with the local rail network at Cradley Heath Interchange."Councillor Bill Thomas, Leader of Sandwell MBC commenting further on the new transport link said: "This extension to the 404 service will help plug the ’Bermuda Triangle’ of missing bus services between Blackheath and Cradley Heath. It provides a prestigious service for residents to Rowley Hospital and Heathfield School, as well as access to the whole of the borough.Local residents must now use the service to guarantee its success."
