All Aboard for City Centre Street Wardens
Birmingham’s Street Wardens have been keeping the City Centre a safe and pleasant environment for shoppers and workers for just over 7 months but have found an added challenge to their jobs. Bus Stop Information. As more and more people use public transport to visit the City they have been inundated with requests for bus stop information.Travel West Midlands Sales Manager, Gail Jones, said: "We were approached by City Centre Management who asked if we could give the Street Wardens locations of stops and where the buses go to. When we realised that they were providing such an important service to our passengers we decided to reward each Warden with an Annual Travelcard so that they could get to know our services first hand."Jenny Inglis, City Centre Director, said: "We are very proud of our Street Wardens and the service they offer and having bus information from Travel West Midlands means that they can go that extra mile for visitors to the City Centre. The Annual bus passes are a welcome bonus."The Street Wardens have been helping passengers in partnership with Travel West Midlands two Customer Care Liaison Officers who are on the streets of the city 5 days a week helping customers.
