All aboard the play bus

We take our responsibilities to the community very seriously at National Express. Recently we donated one of our retired Metrobuses to Birmingham Children's Hospital, and we were absolutely delighted when we were invited to the hospital to receive a 'thank you' card directly from the children.

The vehicle will be used by the hospital as a community play bus - to promote healthy and active lifestyles. It will include a Wii-Fit and soft play area, among other things.

Sarah Jane Marsh, CEO of the hospital said, "We're known for looking after sick children, but we also feel that it is important that we become more proactive about promoting healthy living in the whole community. The play bus will allow us to reach out to schools and community organisations in the West Midlands."

We're thrilled to play our part.
