On Sunday 25th July 2004 Birmingham’s Alexander Stadium will be staging international Athletics for the first time in 10 years when the Norwich Union International takes place.This is a team event where Great Britain’s stars of track and field will take on the USA as well as European and Commonwealth select teams. Access to the Birmingham Alexander Stadium will be possible via the M6 junction 7 and the A34. However there will be a contraflow on the M6 to both the north and south of junction 7 so plenty of time should be allowed for your journey, as delays are possible.Alternatively access can be gained via the Ring Road and A34 (out of city direction). It should be noted that there will be no access from the M6 to the A38(M) at junction 6.
