Big Bandage Charity Night

People from across the West Midlands are being invited to enjoy a night of entertainment in aid of The Big Bandage Appeal.Staff at Travel West Midlands bus company are organising a special charity evening at its sports and social club, The Stadium, Wheelers Lane, in Kings Heath to raise money for Birmingham Children’s Hospital.Mark Richard, Sheridan Leigh, Neil Rose and Bad Habits will be performing at the venue on Friday, 8th July from 7.30pm onwards. Tickets can be bought on the door at £3 or you can buy tickets from any of the Company’s Travelcard and Information Centres located at: Pavilion Central, Birmingham; 2 Station Road, Solihull and at Coventry, Dudley, Walsall and West Bromwich Bus Stations.ALL money raised will go to the cause.The event is part of an ongoing drive by staff at Travel West Midlands and two of its other operations Travel Midland Metro and Travel Coventry.On the ’Big Bandage’ day at the end of last month hundreds of staff wore their bandage and donated money to show their support for the cause. The money is still being counted but it is expected to be well over £1000.The Company also supported the event with adverts on its buses and by wrapping its open topper bus in a big bandage for the launch of the event at the hospital.Corporate Affairs Director, Phil Bateman, said: "The support that our staff have shown for this appeal is immense and I would urge all members of the public to also show their support by coming along to the event this week. I know that all of the money raised will be going to such a good cause and will help the thousands of sick and ill children the hospital cares for every year."Big Bandage Appeal
