Birmingham Bus Stop Changes - 27 Oct ’02
Due to the continued traffic congestion in the City Centre, Birmingham City Council and Travel West Midlands have agreed that changes to the following bus services are necessary to try and keep delays to an absolute minimum:15, 16A, 17, 66, 66A, 99 15 Birmingham - Hob Moor Road - Lea Hall Station17 Birmingham - Hob Moor Road - Tile Cross99 Birmingham - Yardley - Lanchester WayThese services will start and finish at the Moor Street Interchange.They will no longer serve Corporation Street or Carrs LaneStopping places in Birmingham City Centre:Moor Street InterchangeMb (opposite Moor Street Station)DigbethLd (for the Birmingham Markets)16A Birmingham - Hockley - Great Barr, Scott ArmsMost journeys on peak-time Service 16A will start and finish at Upper Bull Street, and will no longer serve Corporation Street, Navigation Street, Hill Street, Upper Dean Street or Moor Street.(Occasionally 16A journeys will continue to run to and from the Birmingham Markets. If you need to confirm which route your bus will take, please ask the driver.)Service 16 journeys will be unaffected.66 Ladywood - City Centre - Sutton Coldfield66A Bearwood - City Centre - StarCityBuses towards Five Ways and Ladywood are unaffected.Buses towards StarCity and Sutton Coldfield will no longer serve Corporation Street and Old Square. Instead from the Moor Street Interchange they will run directly to Lancaster Circus, then Aston University.Stopping places towards StarCity and Sutton Coldfield:Smallbrook QueenswayWd (by Holloway Circus)Upper Dean StreetSb (Birmingham Markets)Moor Street InterchangeMc (opposite Moor Street Station)Aston StreetPg (Aston University)We hope these changes will improve the reliability of bus services during the redevelopment work around the City Centre.
