Bus Birthday Surprise!

Travel West Midlands has made a dream come true by arranging a special 50th birthday surprise for Halesowen man, Colin Foxall - and it turned out to be a ’wheely’ great gift.Colin got behind the wheel of one of Travel West Midlands’ brand new, easy access double deck buses under the watchful eye of Training Instructor, Austin York, and Engineering Manager, Richard Ball, at the Company’s Wolverhampton Garage.Colin’s wife, Sandra, wrote to the Company asking for assistance recently. She said: "I would like to enquire if you could arrange for my husband to drive a bus as a surprise to mark his 50th birthday. It is a long-time ambition of his to do this and I have been unable to find any of the ’event’ companies who provide this opportunity."Phil Bateman, Travel West Midlands’ Corporate Affairs Director, said: "We were pleased to be able to set up this special birthday surprise for Colin. It was a very successful and enjoyable afternoon and Colin really enjoyed the experience and the whole occasion."
