Bus Checks Net Cheats

Travel West Midlands in a joint operation with Stechford Police on the 29th April stopped and checked 41 of the company’s buses. Travel West Midlands Revenue Inspectors scrutinised 906 passengers’ bus tickets and Travelcards. £300 is now due to be recovered from passengers who had been cheating on their fares. Phil Bateman Corporate Affairs Director for TWM said "This OST Operation is only one of many that are taking place across Birmingham. Travel cheats and persons who may consider breaking the law should be aware of the rigorous efforts that this company is making to protect both its revenue and its passengers".
