Bus Drag for Cash

Travel Coventry bus driver, Bob Padfield, showed that driving buses isn’t a drag - by literally dressing as a woman for a Miss Coventry competition recently! Bob donned his fetching wig and dress to take part in the competition which was organised by the landlord of the Old Shepherd Pub, Keresely Road, Coventry, in aid of the BBC Children in Need Appeal.Travel Coventry agreed to sponsor Bob to the sum of £200 and he managed to raise £800 altogether bringing the pub’s total money raised to £2,000.Bob said: "Children in Need is a very worthwhile cause and we were very pleased to raise so much money for them. In total 7 people entered the Miss Coventry competition but at the end of the day we were all winners."
