Bus engineer celebrates release of second novel

A Birmingham bus engineer is celebrating the publication of his second novel – and a possible TV deal for the first.

50 year old Gary Taylor works at National Express’ Bordesley bus depot by night and writes during his day. The father of four has worked as an engineer for the past 34 year’s and is delighted with the interest shown in his two novels.

Gary said: “They say that everyone has at least one book within them - and I just wanted to see if was true. It even surprised me to discover that I had two very different novels waiting to be written. Now I’ve got ideas for even more.’

TV interest has already been expressed for Gary’s first novel ‘A Deal’s a Deal’ which tells the story of a boy with an extraordinary gift caused by a freak accident at birth. His second novel ‘Troubled Minds’, published by Chartridge Books of Oxford is a very different genre from his first. The inspiration for the book came approximately five years ago after a very vivid reoccurring dream which plagued his mind.

Both books, priced at £9.99 are now available at www.amazon.com Aside from writing and repairing Birmingham’s buses Gary is also an instructor at a prominent Midlands-based martial arts association. He still competes at European level.
