Bus Fares Revision on Cards
Travel West Midlands has announced a bus fares revision from Sunday 9th March 2003 with many key fares and cards FROZEN in price.Out of six cash single fares, four are frozen and the other two increased by just 5p each.Click here for details of revised Cash FaresAdult and Child Daysaver Tickets are frozen and the Evening Saver Ticket will be increased by 10p to £1.50. A new Group Daysaver 5 Ticket will be introduced, costing £5, to replace the existing Daysaver 4 Ticket. The Family Daysaver Ticket reverts to the 1996 price of £5.Click here for details of revised Day Tickets All One Week ’all-day’ cards are also frozen and the maximum increase to customers using other cards is the equivalent of 25p a week.Click here for details of revised Travelcards Phil Bateman, Corporate Affairs Director for Travel West Midlands, said: "The overall weighted average fare increase is 2.7% which is slightly below the current headline for the Retail Price Index. All of our tickets and travelcards are very keenly priced and we shall continue to invest heavily in renewing the fleet as well as operating a comprehensive network of bus services. "
