Bus for Day-Trip Group

Travel West Midlands has provided a double deck bus free of charge for the Link Transactions Group based at the Walsall College of Arts & Technology in Walsall.The group of 60 people from all around the Walsall area were transported to Drayton Manor Park for a day out.Ian Sheriff, Chair of Link Transactions Group, said: "We are a group of self-funded disabled volunteers who help disabled people in the borough of Walsall and surrounding areas. This is the first of one of many trips this year which will both incorporate able and disabled people to reach the same goal of social inclusion and enjoying a really fabulous day. This free bus was very much appreciated as it allowed us to take a group of people less fortunate than others out for a much needed day trip!"Phil Bateman, Travel West Midlands’ Corporate Affairs Director, said: "We were more than happy to provide a bus for this worthwhile day out and hope that this gesture contributed to a great day out for the group."
