Bus Journey For Project

Travel West Midlands’ Coventry Garage hosted two visits for children from St Christopher Primary School based in Allesley, Coventry, recently.The two parties of children aged between 3 and 4, were picked up from the school in a brand new easy access double deck bus, and taken to the bus garage where they took a trip through the bus wash and given a brief tour of the garage grounds.Amanda Webb, Nursery Teacher at the school, said: "We have started a two week project based around the song ’Wheels on the Bus’, trying to encourage the children to look around at their surroundings and talk about what they see. They were all very excited and as part of the project we have already started drawing things they have seen along the route."Bernard Delaney, Travel West Midlands’ Area Director South, said: "We were more than happy to provide one of our new buses for this special project. Children love to travel by bus so we thought that providing their very own vehicle would be an excellent way for them to start their project."
