Bus Make-Over on the Cards

Travel West Midlands is proving it’s a class act - but it’s not all gloss! The region’s leading bus operator has teamed up with Rackhams, House of Fraser, to offer passengers the chance to get a free make over at the recently revamped Birmingham City Centre store.Gail Jones, Travel West Midlands’ Sales Manager, said: "This joint promotion is apt as Rackhams is currently undergoing a multi-million pound make over itself and we are offering our passengers the chance to check out the changes and get a new look all free of charge."A spokesman from Rackhams said: "Our newly re-furbished store is easy to access by bus with many City Centre buses stopping right outside our doors on Corporation Street. Lots of our shoppers already come by bus and we wanted to offer them an added incentive to hop on board."The make overs are currently being promoted on 20,000 publicity leaflets, which will be distributed to various outlets throughout the region, on coving panels inside the Company’s fleet of buses and on posters at TWM Travelcard & Information Centres.Passengers will need to telephone 0121 236 3333 extension 2361 to book an appointment which can be anytime up until 30th April 2003. Appointments can only be booked Monday to Friday between 9.30 am and 6.00 pm - makeover appointments can take place any day of the week excluding Easter Sunday. To claim their free make over all they need to do is show a Travel West Midlands’ bus ticket or Travelcard.
