Bus Route Manager on Board

Travel West Midlands has appointed its first dedicated ’Route Manager’ who will be directly responsible for the Company’s Jubilee Line routes - Bristol Road services 61, 62 and 63.Frank Hitchmough, 51, is based at the Company’s Bordesley Garage and his main duties include monitoring quality from a customer perspective, checking the overall presentation of vehicles and drivers and focusing on improving the performance of the services generally.Madi Pilgrim, Travel West Midlands’ Area Director Central, said: "The Jubilee Line route has recently benefited from brand new, easy access buses and we wanted to further improve the services on the 61, 62 and 63 routes by appointing a Route Manager who has sole responsibility for managing all aspects of the route from reliability through to quality issues."The Route Manager appointment will appear on Jubilee Line publicity and timetable information as well as on adverts on buses so that customers are aware of the new role and have a point of contact for comments and suggestions.
