Bus Staff Hit The Heights

Travel West Midlands’ employees have hit the heady heights by scaling the walls of Sandwell General Hospital in West Bromwich for charity.Six employees from Travel West Midlands’ Pensnett Garage based in the Black Country agreed to do a charity abseil in aid of the Royal National Institute for the Blind - and the Company paid for their entries and pledged £100 to the charity.Bus drivers Paul Bishop, Glyne Crage, Clive Wood, Carrie Yarnall, Paul Ballam and Garage Inspector, Kerry Jukes, all took part in the challenge and managed to raise a total of £749 for the charity.Paul Bishop, one of the abseilers, said: "It was an exhilarating day and we all had plenty of support and encouragement from the organisers. It was great that the Company supported this venture and we were pleased to have raised so much cash for such a worthwhile charity."
