Bus Support for Bridgnorth Raft Race

Travel West Midlands provided a bus free of charge to transport supporters from The Firs Pub in Castlecroft, Wolverhampton to the annual Raft Regatta in Bridgnorth recently.Two teams were entered into the race and both managed to finish the course in under three hours - for the first time ever! The event was held to raise money for charity and The Firs Pub supporters raised £2,000 for the Air Ambulance, Compton Hospice, Guide Dogs for the Blind and New Cross Hospital.Phil Bateman, Travel West Midlands’ Corporate Affairs Director, said: "We were more than happy to offer our support for this worthwhile venture by providing a bus free of charge and I’m pleased that they managed to raise such a huge amount for these charities."
