Bus Trip Bonanza

Travel West Midlands hosted a visit for a party of school children recently - and it was just the ticket for a transport day out.A group of ninety 5 and 6 year old children from Anglesey Primary School, based in Lozells, Birmingham, had a trip on a train and were picked up by bus and taken to Gas Street Basin for a walk along the towpath. They were then transported to Perry Barr Garage where they were given a tour of the operations, taken for a trip through the bus wash (on a bus, of course) and had the opportunity to meet bus drivers and traffic office staff.Donna Beaman, Communications Assistant at Travel West Midlands, said: "We were more than happy to arrange this transport trip for Anglesey Primary School. It is very important to create awareness for children and introduce them to different modes of public transport at an early age and they all enjoyed the trip immensely."
