Bus Visitor Gets VIP Treatment

Travel West Midlands’ West Bromwich Garage gave a young bus enthusiast the VIP treatment when he requested a visit to the depot.Christopher Baker, aged 11, from Tipton, wrote to the Company asking for a special birthday visit. He wrote: "If I am not causing you any trouble can I come and visit your buses. I have got four models of buses!"Staff at the garage took Christopher on a tour around the traffic office, showed him the engineering pits and drove through the bus-wash - on a bus of course!Roy Heath, Travel West Midlands’ Acting Garage Inspector, who hosted the visit, said: "Christopher is very keen on buses and it was our pleasure to give him a special birthday treat. We offered him the VIP treatment and showed him how the garage operates - from fixing the buses to arranging the schedules."The Company presented Christopher with some more model buses at the end of his visit to add to his collection.
