Buses Diverted From Broad Street

Travel West Midlands’ bus services will be diverted away from Broad Street, Birmingham City Centre, from Friday 31st October 2003 in an effort to maintain reliability.In the direction from City only, services 9, 10, 21, 22, 23, 29, 103, 120, 126, 128, 129, 139 and 140A will be diverted after 9.00 pm on Fridays and Saturdays between Paradise Circus and Sheepcote Street.Services from City will be diverted from Paradise Circus Queensway via Cambridge Street, King Edwards Road, St Vincent’s Street, Sheepcote Street and Broad Street and then normal line of route.Phil Bateman, Travel West Midlands’ Corporate Affairs Director, said: "Reliability is a priority for us and we believe that diverting services away from Broad Street at this busy time of night will benefit passengers - not only those travelling from the City Centre, but those waiting outside the City along the various routes."
