Buses Ease Train Disruption

Following vandalism and a line-side fire in the Small Heath area, railway signalling system equipment has been badly damaged, causing the closure of a section of the railway between Birmingham Snow Hill and Leamington Spa.Initial reports are that repairing the system will take several days. Central Trains’ Birmingham Snow Hill - Small Heath - Dorridge - Leamington Spa service is suspended:Customers travelling between Leamington Spa and Birmingham should use Travel Coventry bus service route 12 between Leamington Spa and Coventry Rail Staion and connect with other rail services between Coventry and Birmingham New Street.Customers travelling between Dorridge and Birmingham should use Travel West Midlands bus service 40A & 40C, then change to Service 37, 57 or 57A at Solihull Station.On Central Trains’ Birmingham Snow Hill - Small Heath - Shirley - Stratford-upon-Avon, there will be an hourly train service between Shirley and Stratford-upon-Avon in both directions:Customers travelling between Birmingham Snow Hill and Shirley should use Travel West Midlands bus service 6.Valid rail tickets are valid for travel on Travel West Midlands and Travel Coventry bus services during the period of disruption.Please note that the alternative bus routes will not call at train stations and customers are advised to phone Traveline on 0870 608 2 608 for advice on routes.
