Buses Taking a Spin!

Travel West Midlands is taking a spin of a different kind - by sponsoring new local radio station, Stourbridge FM.The new station is licensed by the Radio Authority under a ’restricted service licence’ and will be broadcasting for one month only during May 2002.Project Co-ordinator, Paul Teague, said: "We are a community based radio station providing music, speech, sport, news, weather and local information for the people of Stourbridge. Our first month long broadcast took place in November 2001 and was highly popular with the local community."Phil Tonks, Breakfast Show DJ, said: "Our aim with these broadcasts is to eventually secure a full-time radio station for the Stourbridge area which include Pedmore, Wollaston, Cradley, Brierley Hill and Kinver. We hope people will offer their support by tuning in to 105.2 FM."Travel West Midlands has sponsored some spot advertising slots to the sum of £350 and will use this to encourage people in the region to hop on board TWM buses.
