Court Action Taken Against Stone Thrower

A compensation payment of £50.00 has been awarded to Travel West Midlands following a recent sitting of West Bromwich Magistrates Court.This followed an incident on the 22nd March 2002 when a youth broke a window on a single deck vehicle following a stone throwing episode in Hydes Road, Wednesbury. Phil Bateman, Corporate Affairs Director said: "We are pleased that this youth has been dealt with in this way. The Court found him guilty of ’intending to destroy or damage property’. All to often people get away with this type of crime. Our passengers will be very pleased to know that when we do catch offenders, Court action will take place."
