Coventry Bus Fares Revision on Cards

Travel Coventry has announced a bus fares revision from Sunday 9th March 2003 with many key fares and cards FROZEN in price.Out of six cash single fares, four are frozen and the other two increased by just 5p each. Adult and Child Daysaver Tickets are frozen and the Evening Saver Ticket will be increased by 10p to £1.50. All Coventry Faresaver travelcards are frozen.A new Group Daysaver 5 Ticket will be introduced, costing £5, to replace the existing Daysaver 4 Ticket. The Family Daysaver Ticket reverts to the 1996 price of £5.Phil Bateman, Corporate Affairs Director for Travel Coventry, said: "The overall weighted average fare increase is 2.7% which is slightly below the current headline for the Retail Price Index. All our tickets and travelcards are very keenly priced and we shall continue to invest heavily in renewing the fleet as well as operating a comprehensive network of bus services."
