Discover Birmingham By Bus
Travel West Midlands, in partnership with Birmingham City Council, is providing a free shuttle bus service for Discovery Day in Birmingham City Centre on Sunday 17th August 2003.The 15 minute shuttle service will start from Broad Street (Five Ways) and will pick up at Colmore Row ( Stop Aa), Millennium Point (26 bus stop from City), Ladywell Walk (Stop Kh) and Broad Street, Centenary Square (Stop Ub). The service will run from 11.00 am until 6.00 pm.Phil Bateman, Travel West Midlands’ Corporate Affairs Director, said: "We have joined forces with Birmingham City Council to provide a free shuttle bus service for people who are coming into the City on Sunday to discover the delights of Birmingham. Passengers can just hop on and off to get to and from the various attractions."Events on the day include backstage tours of the Miss Saigon set at the Hippodrome, sneak previews of the BBC’s new public space at The Mailbox and a BRMB roadshow. TWM will have one of its brand new buses on display on Centenary Square and passengers are reminded that the price of the Family Daysaver Ticket and Daysaver 5 ticket has been cut from £5 to £3 on Sunday 17th August 2003.
