Drive to Improve Bus Collection

Travel West Midlands has ’wheely’ excelled itself by donating an old steering wheel to a bus mad fanatic -and it’s set the wheels in motion to improve his collection.Ramesh Chauhan, from Sparkhill, recently wrote to the Company asking if he could buy an old steering wheel to add to his big collection of model buses and old tickets.He wrote: "I have a very big collection of bus memorabilia right from the very beginning when the West Midlands PTE was in operation. I also make model buses at home and have built my very own bus depot there."Phil Bateman, Travel West Midlands’ Corporate Affairs Director, said: "Ramesh is bus mad and we wanted to add this unique object to his already extensive collection. He is thrilled with it and was pleased when a member of training staff turned up at his house to present him with it."
