Dudley Road ( Blakenhall ) Closure - Buses Diverted
From Sunday 12th February 2006, several Travel West Midlands bus services will be affected by the long-term closure of Dudley Road (in-bound towards Wolverhampton, between Parkfield Road and Grove Street).The diversions for the affected services are as follows:541 & 541A- Buses towards Wolverhampton will be diverted from Lower Villiers Street via Bell Place to rejoin Dudley Road. No timetable alterations are expected at this stage.- Buses from Wolverhampton will follow their normal line of route of out the city.558 / 558N / 641 / 713 / 783- Buses Wolverhampton will be diverted via Parkfield Road, Thompson Avenue, Birmingham Road and Grove Street. Revised timetables will be operating to take into account the diversion.- Buses from Wolverhampton will follow their normal line of route of out the city.Stuart Henry, Corporate Affairs Manager for Travel West Midlands said; "We have had to take the necessary steps to amend our affected services due to this long term road closure. Obviously the closure is totally out of our control but we will be taking steps to review timetables throughout the 12 month period to ensure the best possible levels of service for our customers.
