Always popular, this year’s Fireworks Fantasia at Cannon Hill Park is being held next weekend on Sunday 10 July as part of the National Day of Commemoration of the 60th Anniversary of the end of World War 2.There are still a few special offer tickets available for pensioners priced at £2 per pair. These have been specially discounted by Birmingham City Council so that anyone who lived through World War 2 has an opportunity to attend this spectacular 1940’s style event featuring the Sing for Victory Show, Aynuk and Ayli, the Beverley Sisters and Max Bygraves. The evening’s entertainment hosted by BBC Midlands Today’s Nick Owen sees the acclaimed "Rat Pack Tour 2005" followed by a rousing proms-style concert with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra accompanied by a fantastic fireworks finale.This Special Offer for people over 65 is only available in person from Travel West Midlands Travelcard and Information Centres located at Pavilion Central, Birmingham; 2 Station Road, Solihull and at Coventry, Dudley, Walsall and West Bromwich Bus Stations.
