First Aid For Buses

Travel West Midlands bus drivers Bob Moore and Dave Jones are providing a pick-me-up with a difference by volunteering their services to St John Ambulance in their spare time.Bob Moore, a bus driver at Wolverhampton Garage and Dave Jones, a bus driver at West Bromwich Garage recently put their skills to the test at the Coach & Bus National Annual Competition, and managed to secure a trophy for the Winning Team on the Field out of 16 teams entered.Bob and Dave had to endure written examinations and perform in practice scenarios which involved a heart attack and a fitter who mistakenly cuts off two of his fingers.Bob, who used to be an Ambulance driver, said: "Both Dave and myself come from a St John Ambulance background and both of our wives are heavily involved in the organisation. We were pleased to win best on the field but hope to do better for the Company in next year’s tournament."
