FREE Fireworks Shuttle Buses
Travel West Midlands will be providing FREE shuttle services for both the Pype Hayes and Edgbaston Cricket Ground fireworks displays on the 5th and 6th November 2004Pype Hayes - 5th November 2004As there is no parking at the event (apart from some Disabled parking) there will be a FREE TWM shuttle service running from The Fort shopping centre - where there will be free parking.The service will run between 5pm and 11pm from the 68 stop at The Fort to the Bagot Arms - opposite the park.Buses will pick up from the 67 stop, in the Castle Vale direction, outside the Bagot Arms on Chester Road to The Fort. The last pick up will be 11pm. There will also be the normal 28, 67 and 114 services operating to the park.Click here to select and view online timetables.Edgbaston Cricket Ground - 6th November 2004TWM will also run a 20-minute shuttle service from the Broadway Plaza in Birmingham to Cannon Hill Park.The first service from Broadway Plaza will be 5pm and the last bus to leave Cannon Hill Park will be 11pm.TWM Services 1, 45 and 47 also serve Edgbaston Cricket Ground with Bristol Road services 61, 62 and 63 (serving Bristol Road) stop just 5 minutes walk away.Click here to select and view online timetables.Both shuttle bus services will be direct services, with no stops in between, and passengers should look out for the ’Private Charter’ signs on the buses.Phil Bateman, TWM’s Corporate Affairs Director, said: "We hope by providing these special free services we can make travelling to the event as easy as possible for those people who want to attend.
