Going Local by Bus - Make the Connection!
Travel West Midlands has teamed up with Birmingham City Council to produce a set of bus guides which will help residents to find their way around each of Birmingham’s ten constituencies. The guides will help people to find out about council services available in their area such as libraries, leisure centres, neighbourhood offices and parks, and how to reach them by TWM bus.Gail Jones, Sales Manager for Travel West Midlands said; "The leaflets contain a bus timetable and map and useful telephone numbers as well as information on some of the improvements that have been made to council services since the Going Local initiative was introduced two years ago. We’re pleased once again to be working closely with Birmingham City Council and we hope the new leaflet will benefit both existing and potential bus customers."Councillor Jim Whorwood, Cabinet Member for Local Services and Community Safety said; "We’re pleased to be working in partnership with Travel West Midlands on these publications, which will help residents to visit council facilities by bus. It’s also given us a chance to advise residents on how they can have a say in shaping council services where they live. The leaflets also explain how residents can get involved in influencing the way that council services are delivered in their constituency or in volunteering to get involved."You can pick up a leaflet from your local library, Travel West Midlands Travelcard and Information Centres and other council venues or download a PDF of the leaflet by clicking on the link for your area below:Edgbaston, Erdington, Hall Green, Hodge Hill (coming soon), Ladywood, Northfield, Perry Barr, Selly Oak, Sutton Coldfield, YardleyFor more information visit www.birmingham.gov.uk/goinglocal
