Group Bus Ticket Price Cut

Travel West Midlands has slashed the price of its Family Daysaver and Daysaver 5 bus tickets from £5 to £3 on Sunday 17th August 2003.Phil Bateman, Travel West Midlands’ Corporate Affairs Director, said: "There are lots of things to do and see around the West Midlands. Birmingham City Council is holding its popular Discovery Day on Sunday 17th August 2003 and there are many other attractions across the region which are accessible by bus. We wanted to encourage people to hop on board and get out and about and discover what’s on the doorstep."The Family Daysaver ticket allows travel for up to 6 people, 1 but no more than 2 must be adult, and the Daysaver 5 ticket allows up to 5 people unlimited travel on the day of purchase on all Travel West Midlands bus services. The ticket can be bought on the bus.Travel West Midlands, in partnership with Birmingham City Council, is also running a free 15 minute shuttle bus on Discovery Day in Birmingham City Centre which will link Broadway Plaza (Five Ways) with the Hippodrome, Millennium Point, Colmore Row and Broad Street (Centenary Square). The service starts at 11.00 am and finishes at 6.00 pm.
