The tournament, for players of 60 years and over, is held in Hong Kong from 12th to 21st September.German Singh (61) from Bradmore, a cash counter at the Wolverhampton garage, started his hockey career in 1967 at Wolverhampton Hockey Club. He has gone on to have a glittering international career, including a silver medal at the European Championships in Barcelona earlier this year. German is modest about his success, saying, “winning the gold medal means everything to me. No words can explain the feeling.” Ron Hannibal, Assistant Operations Manager at Wolverhampton Garage says: “German has been with the company since 1973. We are all very supportive of his achievements and are very proud to have a gold medallist in our midst.”
