Litter - if you don’t want it, neither do we!
Travel West Midlands is to run a passenger awareness campaign urging bus passengers to take their litter home with them! Travel West Midlands and Travel Coventry have 1800 buses in service across the West Midlands, and the time has come when we must ask the passenger to take their litter home with them. Phil Bateman Corporate Affairs Director said today "TWM is to run an on bus advertising campaign asking bus passengers to take their litter home with them. The message that will be displayed on the bus ’Litter - if you don’t want it, neither do we, help us to keep the buses clean’ is aimed at bus passengers that just drop their litter on the bus without thought for other bus passengers, or for the staff that have to clean the buses every night."Travel West Midlands employ over-night cleaners that sweep out the fleet every night, recently concerns have been raised that garbage that is being dropped on the bus is increasing. We hope that passengers will take note of the campaign and take their litter home with them for disposal.Fascinating Fact: Approximately 40 tonnes of rubbish are swept off Travel West Midlands’ buses each week!
