Music, Laughter and a Naked Bridegroom!

Travel West Midlands played its part in moving thousands of music fans at the 'V' Festival held at Weston Park Staffordshire over the weekend 17-20 August by making travel simpler for them. The bus company operated a shuttle service from both Wolverhampton and Stafford rail stations and moved festival goers between that venue and the local rail heads quickly and efficiently. Alex Perry Area Director Black Country said today "Despite the weather the fans very much enjoyed themselves. Its just great to have played such a major role in what has been another successful event at Weston Park.We provided some 40 buses for the movement of the music fans during the course of the four days. In fact we moved thousands of passengers over this period. Many of our staff will have some real good memories of happy and ebullient young people who had just one thing in mind . . . which was to have a good time! I am told that on one of the journeys a bride-groom and his best man, along with the stag party all travelled on the bus together. When the party alighted from the bus, the groom and best man were 'naked' they then just strode off into the Park to loud laughter and much finger pointing! The behaviour of the people we carried was impeccable in the main whilst they were on our buses, and I would like to commend their behaviour at a time when we only seem to hear about bad news incidents."
