National Express Bus Driver Trainers in Tanzania
National Express Delegated Examiner John Mitchell and NX CPC Trainer Raj Bhutta from the Training School at Walsall are currently on a 16 day trip to Tanzania undertaken on behalf of the charitable organisation Transaid
The trip was arranged in order to train Tanzanian PCV trainers, enabling them to improve the standard of training they deliver to bus and coach drivers in their country.
Based at the National Institute of Transport (NIT) in Dar es Salaam the primary objectives as National Express Trainers will be to:
- Train National Institute of Transport (NIT) instructors to perform the practical training of new and existing bus drivers in Tanzania.
- All the lessons from introduction to the vehicle through to mock driving tests and remedial training will need to be developed and taught.
A further trip has been pencilled in for the end of May when Delegated Examiner Ian Davis and CPC Trainer/NX Recruitment Officer Ken Billingham will be carrying on the good work started by Raj and John.
John and Raj have been keeping everyone at home informed by publishing a Blog where you can read more about their trip.
