National Express gets behind its marketing campaign

National Express West Midlands is putting some back into its latest marketing campaign - by using ‘mega-rear’ advertising space on buses.

For the first time National Express is using its back of bus advertising (or “mega-rears”) to promote their best value day tickets. The new, eye catching designs feature on 21 double deckers travelling across the region’s busiest bus routes.

Gavin Fable, Marketing Campaigns Manager for NXWM, said: “Many of the UK’s major companies love using our buses to advertise their books, films and products - they know that bus advertising really works. This is the very first time we’ve used mega-rears to support our own promotion and the response from customers and staff has been really positive.” The mega-rears will be in place until winter and have already been seen by thousands of people across the West Midlands. The designs mirror street side posters and press adverts which have dominated Birmingham city centre and other areas for the past six weeks.
