New Fares from 02-Jan-2006

Travel West Midlands has anounced new fares which will be introduced on Monday, 2nd January 2006.The main headlines of the fare changes are:- None of the fares increased have risen since 2nd January 2005- SaverBus Fares are frozen- Direct Debit prices will not increase until 1st February 2006- Black Country and Birmingham & Black Country cards will become valid on services to Lichfield- Young Persons Term and Student card prices remain unchanged- Evening Saver to start at 6pm on a permanent basisPhil Bateman Corporate Affairs Director said "Overall there is just an 8% adjustment being made to fares for the coming year. This new fare scale will become live on the 2nd January 2006. We are a responsible bus company and we are very much aware of the need to be prudent at a time when the global energy market is causing so much volatility.
