Operations Director Appointed to National Express UK Bus Division Board

The National Express UK Bus Division is pleased to announce the appointment of Neil Barker as Operations Director.Neil, 40, began his career in passenger transport during 1985. He has a broad experience within the bus industry having held positions at well respected operators like Eastern National, Yorkshire Woollen and London & Country before becoming Managing Director of Arriva Midlands North in 1999 and then Managing Director of newly formed Arriva Midlands in 2003.Brian Jackson, Chief Executive said: "I welcome Neil to the National Express Group’s UK Bus Division. He brings a wealth of operational experience with him to his new role and I am sure this will benefit our extensive operations in the West Midlands and further afield at our Travel Dundee and Travel London businesses. He also comes with a knowledge of London’s transport requirements which will be very helpful as we develop the Travel London subsidiary."Neil will be based at the UK Bus Division’s Head Office at Sovereign Court, Birmingham.
