Own Festival Tipple for TWM

Travel West Midlands will be taking its support for CAMRA’s Wolverhampton Beer Festival a step further this year by having a beer named after it in the event.Trav Ale will feature in the 30th annual beer festival in the city, which will be launched today (Thursday 2nd June) and run until Saturday, 4th June.Sarah Hughes Brewery in Sedgley has produced the ale especially for the event which promises to be bigger and better than ever.Trav Ale 4.5% abv and is a well balanced golden ale, with a nice sharp bitter taste, brewed with Maris Otter, Brewers Gold and Fuggles hops. Along with the ale TWM has also produced some colourful posters promoting the event in the city as well as 5000 beer mats which will be distributed before and during the festival encouraging people not to drink and drive and to catch the bus instead.Phil Bateman, Corporate Affairs Director of TWM, will also be opening the event as the Mayor of Wolverhampton, he said: "We’re pleased to be part of the Black Country’s major festival, every year it becomes more popular. We hope that visitors will use the extensive bus network to visit the beer festival and partake in our own tipple Trav Ale safely without drinking and driving."Festival Organiser Chris Colley added: "This year promises to be a great festival with entertainment and real ales to suit everyone.
