Pensnett’s Price is Right!

A group of 28 fun-loving staff and their partners from Travel West Midlands’ Pensnett garage recently travelled north up the M6 to Manchester where they hoped to get the chance to be contestants in popular show, The Price is Right.Led by TWM’s Black Country’s Sports and Social Secretary, Paul Bishop, the group enjoyed hours of fun and laughter in the audience during the show hosted by ’I?’ a Celebrity’ star, Joe Pasquale.Out of the 28 who were in the audience from Pensnett, lucky bus driver Steve Bradbury was picked to ’come on down’ and try his luck at winning some prizes.Steve, 49, who has been a bus driver for five years, made it through to the tough ’Safe Cracker’ round where he narrowly failed to win the prize of a weekend in Paris. Steve also had the chance to spin the famous wheel but was beaten by a fellow contestant. Steve did however come away with a very bizarre prize - a 3ft statue of a gremlin made out of used motorbike parts!Speaking after his game-show experience Steve said; "I was really surprised and shocked to be chosen but the adrenaline kicked in as soon I walked down those famous steps. Joe Pasquale was great and really put me at ease. It was a bit of a blow not win another prizes but it was a fantastic experience."Picture: GREMLIN!
