Perry Barr/Newtown Road Closure - Sun, 4 Aug

Due to the demolition of two blocks of flats at Six Ways, Aston an exclusion zone will be enforced resulting in the closure of roads between Perry Barr Island and Newtown Middleway (Birchfield Road, High Street Aston and Newtown Row).The services affected are: 7, 8A/8C, 33, 34A, 39, 46A, 51, 52 and 107.The services will be diverted away from their normal line of route with the diversion commencing from the first bus and continuing until the area is declared safe by the authorities. Buses will be diverted as follows:Service 7:Journeys towards the City Centre will operate via normal line of route to Witton Road, left into Witton Lane, Queens Road, Grosvenor Road, right into Lichfield Road, Aston Road North to Dartmouth Circus, right into Newtown Middleway, New John Street West, left into Summer Lane then via normal line of route to City Centre.Journeys from the City Centre will operate via the reverse of the route detailed above.Service 8A/8C:8A journeys will operate via the normal line of route to Rocky Lane turning right at Aston Cross, Aston Road North/Aston Bridge, right into Newtown Middleway, New John Street West, right into Great Kings Street North, Wheelers Street, left into Lozells Road, left into Hunters Road where it rejoins the normal line of route.8C journeys will operate via the reverse of the route detailed above.Service 46:Journeys towards the City Centre will operate via normal line of route to Perry Barr, right into Wellington Road, left into Hamstead Road, left into Lozells Road where it rejoins the normal line of route.Journeys from the City Centre will operate via the reverse of the route detailed above.Services 33, 34A, 39,51,52 and 107:Journeys towards the City Centre will operate via normal line of route to Perry Barr, left into Aston Lane, Witton Lane, Queens Road, Grosvenor Road, right into Lichfield Road, Aston Road North to Dartmouth Circus, right into Newtown Middleway, left into Newtown Row where it rejoins the normal line of route.Journeys from the City Centre will operate via the reverse of the route detailed above.For public transport information please contact Traveline: 0870 608 2 608TWM apologises for any inconvenience caused by these circumstances which are beyond our control.
